Children Aid Society Matters
When a child is believed to be “in need of protection’ there are several possible steps that may be taken. They may be removed from the family home and placed in foster care, placed with other family members or even with family friends.
It is also possible that the child may remain at home but that the family is required to accept a responsible adult moving in to care for them. Alternatively the Society may feel that the problem can be addressed through monitoring the situation and recommending counselling services for the family.
Finding yourself involved with a child protection agency is emotionally draining and never an easy situation. Conflicts between the family and the Society worker are not unusual however it is in your best interests to remain as co-operative as you can. And seek experienced legal counsel to help you deal with the situation.
Donnell Law Group has experience in child protection law and will help you to understand how to best present your case. They will protect your rights while helping you to illustrate to the Court that you are willing to address the issues that caused the Society to become involved in the first place.
We will help you to navigate through this complex and emotional time.
