Ministry Challenges

When the Ministry introduces a new law or makes changes to a law that affect the practices of the citizens, we act on your behalf to ensure that your voice is heard and that you are dealt with in a fair and equitable manner.

An example of a Ministry challenge is how the Ministry has now defined how peat is to be processed, overriding the practices and wishes of the people who live on properties with peat. The government has enforced strict rules about peat. Our role in a challenge like that would be to understand why the Ministry changed their definition and understand the property owners perspective then act on behalf of the property owners.
